Pawn of Prophecy, David Eddings (x2)
Second time.
Good, quick, engaging fantasy story. I like the kid; he's not an innocent kid.

The Giver, Lois Lowry
Kid book. It's good, but a bit lacking in imagination. When you throw yourself this far into the future, you suddenly have a lot of space to fill. Like similar dystopias, Brave New World comes to mind, The Giver seems to fill that space by copying and pasting the present.
That said, it reads well, and there's one or two intriguing ideas.
Interference, Sue Burke
Once again this slow tension, and growing danger. And I'm gonna say Yes, though a lot has been left undone.
It could have resolved more, but I hesitate to say that, because non-resolution is one of its strengths.
The Merry Men, Robert Louis Stevenson
Rich, but abrupt at the end. Would have been much better as a full-length novel.
